Born in Rockford, Illinois, Lisa D. Taylor was raised by a single mother who, through her motivational speaking, inspired women to work on their self-image through diet and nutrition.
With her mother as a role model, Lisa witnessed first-hand the positive impact one individual could have on another. Despite raising two active sons of her own, Lisa also opened up her home to four girls from troubled homes. Through her care and nurturing, three of the girls graduated from high school with honors, and one started her own business.
Lisa supplemented her college education by attending a series of seminars and networking with business owners in the community. While doing so, she came in contact with individuals who desired to better themselves through education and who also desired to give back to their neighborhoods, but were unaware of where to begin. With that knowledge, Lisa became determined to tap into her talents for bringing people together, and has used her ever-expanding network, database, and other resources to help those requiring assistance.
Lisa has lived in the Citrus Heights and Sacramento area for over 30 years, where she has been active in several community organizations. She was Ambassador of the Year in 2007 and attended the Citrus Heights Leadership program, graduating 3rd in her class. Lisa’s further involvement has included the Citrus Heights Women’s Club, where she is now 2nd Vice President of Membership, Chairperson for the District Women’s Club for Community Outreach, Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce, Citrus Heights scholarship pageant, M3 Mall Queens, West Coast Ambassador, and she was Cornish Christmas Ambassador for 2015 and 2016. Lisa was crowned Grand Queen Supreme 2020 for the Accomplished American Program & the HeartShine Foundation’s Ms. Sacramento Valley 2021. She also participated in functions with the Lincoln and Loomis Chamber of Commences. Lisa is an avid supporter of the L for Lupus Foundation, the disease that plagued her mother before her passing.
For the last six years, Lisa has been the Queen Director of her own Purple Pageant. She is owner of Lisa D’s event planning, Lisa D’s Queen Cleaning service and Lisa D’s Fairytale Boutique. Her compassion, vibrant personality, and determination continue to be a powerful trifecta in assisting struggling business owners, organizations, and communities to move up to the next level.
